The Blood Guard (by Carter Roy)

What ever makes a kid from my own side of the World read a book, it can only mean two things, *it was recommended or *he’s having an exam. So, you should know there is an extra ordinary surprise package for young kids in this book. I was lucky to get a narration out of a friend of mine, but was i really that lucky since i haven’t got one from Carter Roy himself.

Summary

Ronan Truelove, a thirteen-year-old boy, was snatched from school by his seemingly ordinary mom, they set off on a high speed car chase, Ronan is shocked to hear his quiet nerdy dad has been kidnapped? And the kidnappers are after him too?. He quickly learns that his mom is anything but ordinary, and she’s a member of an ancient order of knights, called The Blood Guards, a sword wielding secret society, sworn to protect the pure thirty-six noble souls, in a world were surviving matters, the safety of the noble souls is crucial. Now the after school activities, gymnastic, judo, survival training, his mom made him take, makes complete sense. Ronan adventure suddenly fall between a sometimes funny, sometimes scary, but always thrilling adventures, running from one danger to the next, using his courage to escape the Bend sinister, a posse of evil doers with strange abilities. He finds himself with two unlikely companions, Greta a scrappy, strong willed girl, who he never liked much and Jack, a devil may care teenage pickpocket, Ronan is left with only his wits and his mom’s last words of advice: Trust No One. Ronan had to go through difficult challenges, thinking he is ordinary.

“am been selfish cause i haven’t read the book, do you have a teenager who loves adventure?, give the book to him as a present and maybe you will find out he actually is not ordinary. Who knows?”
